Ski for Nepal I Gaurishankar Conservation Area Project (GCAP)

In February 2016, NFSS conducted its first 21-days ski, snowboard and rescue training for Nepali students, mountain and trekking guides in Naa Valley, Rolwaling, Dolakha. The participants consisted of, 11 tourism students, 4 mountain guides and 1 trekking guide, and 9 local people including girls who received ski & snowboarding training and avalanche rescue techniques. Being the first of its kind, the training aimed at training the individual to prepare them as instructors. Especially by providing rescue training, NFSS is trying to promote Nepal as a safe destination for travel since the 2015 earthquake.
